Last Friday, Rearcross National School held its annual Sports Day. Highlights of the day included Ms. Daly’s obstacle course, orienteering with Ms. Corcoran, uni-hoc with Ms. McNamara and athletics with Ms. Carey. Thankfully the rain held off and everyone enjoyed a fun-filled day!

On Thursday 17th of June, 2nd – 6th class set off on their school tour. Our first stop was Croke Park, pupils got the opportunity to explore the exhibits in the newly-refurbished GAA Museum, took a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the stadium and explored the rich history of the Gaelic Athletic Association.

Our next stop was Bull Alley Street and our ‘Viking Splash Tour’. Here pupils were taken on a thrilling tour around the main sights of Dublin City – by land and water. Our tour concluded with a trip to Laois Shopping Centre, a great day was had by all!

Fourth class pupils created their own jigsaws and jigsaw boxes, based on the seasons. The junior room had great fun making them!
